Neuropathy…..Can you feel that now???

Now I have been one Lucky Lady as far as side effects from my chemo treatments…..I mean, I was nauseous, but did not have gut wrenching vomiting….I didn’t lose one strand of hair…..I mean, LUCKY…right??  Well, for me the real kick in the ass was this little side effect that I know now as neuropathy.  Neuropathy is a condition where you have tingling, numbness and a general issue with feeling your hands and feet.  For me, the whole not having full sensation in my toes is a definite issue.  I mean, wearing sandals is an issue……and let’s not get me started on my heels…wearing heels has definitely taken a trip to the curb.

So, know when you might see me and I have a tendency now to wobble a bit and may even stagger….it is not that I have had too many of Tommy’s fine cocktails…it is because I have an issue with the damn pins and needles in my toes….it is definitely an eye opener, because that is something that you just take for granted.  FYI….I am currently on some new meds for this and thankfully they are helping…but for now neuropathy…the word of the day in my world.

So, Neuropathy is a bitch, but those socks are so groovy it almost caused me to forget the “point” of your story…I mean, they match your hair – it’s like you’ve got a groove going on with the wardrobe. We’ve been hitting some of the bucket list stuff ourselves, and going to Bali next week for 10 days of relaxing and enjoying a laid back style of life, I’m hoping. Sometimes we just get so damn busy that we don’t smell those roses. You’ve been forced into smelling those roses, and I am enjoying keeping tabs on your journey.

      You will love Bali…it is a magical spot on earth, that is for sure. Randy and I were lucky enough to spend some time there a few years ago and absolutely fell in love! I will try and pick up a pair of my oh so cool socks for you while we are celebrating my Mom’s 80th B-day in a few weeks…until then travel safe 🙂

    1. Thank you-I was most excited that the wisteria is in bloom on the bridge!! Mary and I are in quality check mode this weekend at the Del Mar Motel…. to make sure that all is well at our favorite spot 😉
